I’ve been an artist all my life. As a kid I was continually creating and was only happy, when I could. That condition persists. I was self taught until attending the University of Utah. There I learned what an artist has to do. I studied technique and learned different mediums, art history and work ethic. After graduating I worked briefly as part of an art direction team for film and television. But I left that as soon as my paintings started selling and have been painting full time since 2001. I’ve continued my education through workshops and mentorships with favorite artists of mine. My work is diverse because my influences are. I need to keep moving forward. To work hard and create something I haven’t before is what I love to do.
