Hera and Akut were both born in Germany where they both studied Visual Communication/ Graphic Design.

Akut joined the graffiti scene in 1991; Hera then followed in 2000.

Hera and Akut joined forces in 2004 and they went by the moniker "Herakut." Each artist able to provide their own skill to every piece.

Herakut has found beauty in rodents and uses them in a majority of their work. They believe that rodents are seen as inferior to all other animals. However, they have found beauty, power and resilience in these animals and depict them as human-esque.
