"Two exclusive new editions that celebrate one of my favourite public artworks in Lisbon that was recently demolished. The original wall piece was carved in June 2014 as part of my “Dissection” solo show at the EDP Foundation. Nothings lasts forever."
Alexandre Farto aka Vhils
Portuguese street artist Vhils is renowned for his unique subtractive technique, by which he creates mammoth, naturalistic images of faces on the sides of buildings by chipping away at the surface with a drill. Works like this explore the dilution of individuals' identities in the pressure cooker of the city.
